How to get the lowest fare

• Move the date by a day or two — the date strip on the search compares nearby days at a glance.
• Early-morning and late-night flights are usually the cheapest of the day.
• Book domestic flights three to six weeks ahead, and international flights six to ten weeks ahead.
• Around Diwali, Eid, Christmas and school holidays, book as early as you can.
• Check the baggage included before you pay — the lowest fare is not always the cheapest once bags are added.
