Air India Series Fare: Fixed-Price Seats on Set Dates
An Air India series fare is a fixed price on a block of Air India seats bought ahead of time on a set flight and date. When such seats are available, they appear on our Special Fixed Departure pages with a limited seat count per date, and each seat is sold on a confirmed airline PNR at the price shown until the date sells out.
We are an independent travel agency. Air India is named here only to describe the airline that operates the flight; it does not endorse our site and we have no special arrangement with it. What we can do is show you the Air India series seats that are open on a route and date, next to the other fares available, so you can choose with the full picture in front of you.
Where Air India series seats may appear
- Mumbai–Delhi and Delhi–Mumbai, busy business and family routes with several departures a day.
- Delhi–Leh, where summer demand is high and live fares often rise sharply close to departure.
- Delhi–Dubai, popular with families, workers and holidaymakers heading to the Gulf.
- Kochi–Dubai, a key route for Kerala travellers visiting family or returning to work.
Air India series seats show on our pages only when there is inventory on that route and date, so the list changes through the year. If a route shows no Air India series date, it simply means there is no block open for it right now. Other airlines or normal fares may still be available on the same search.
What a full-service series fare usually includes
Air India is a full-service airline, so its fares generally include more than a basic low-cost ticket. Meals or refreshments and checked baggage are typically part of the fare, but the exact baggage allowance and inclusions are shown on each fare and can differ between domestic and international routes. Always read the baggage line on the fare you pick rather than relying on what a friend got on another trip. Seat selection, extra baggage and other add-ons follow the airline's own policies.
Why the price stays fixed
The series fare is set when the block is bought, not when you search. On a route like Delhi–Leh in summer, or Kochi–Dubai before school holidays, live fares can climb quickly as flights fill. An Air India series fare bought in bulk ahead is often cheaper than the live price in such peaks, but not always. On a quiet weekday the airline's own published fare may be lower or come with better change terms. That is why our search also lists normal fares; tap Show all fares to compare price, baggage and rules together.
Rules to check before you pay
- Series fares are usually non-refundable, even on a full-service airline.
- Name changes are usually not allowed, so type every name exactly as on the passport or government ID.
- Date changes are usually not allowed or are limited, because the seat belongs to one date in the series.
- Baggage and inclusions are shown on each fare and may vary by route.
- The full fare rules appear before payment, and those are the rules that apply.
If Air India changes your flight
Airlines can reschedule or cancel flights, and series seats are no exception. If Air India changes or cancels a flight you hold a series fare on, we will contact you and help you rebook or claim a refund according to the airline's rules for that change. Keep your mobile number and email correct on the booking, and check your flight status a day before travel.
Booking an Air India series fare with us
- Search your route and date, or open the matching fixed-departure route page.
- Look for Air India series dates that still show seats, and read the baggage and fare rules.
- Enter passenger details exactly as on passport or ID; international routes need a valid passport and any visa required.
- Pay online through the payment gateway.
- The ticket is issued against the confirmed PNR and emailed to you. You can then use the PNR for check-in with the airline.
