Lake Kawaguchi is the most visited of the Fuji Five Lakes, known for its reflections of Mt. Fuji on calm days. The lakeside has walking paths, gardens and viewpoints.
Japan's capital is a huge, orderly metropolis where old shrines and quiet gardens sit beside neon districts and glass towers. It is easy to get around by train, safe at all hours and excellent for food, shopping and day trips towards Mt. Fuji.
